About Me

My name is Becca Lebo and I’m glad you are here!

My husband, Dan, our three children- ages 9, 7, and 3, and I have lived in Annville since 2014. I have volunteered in the elementary schools helping with the Junior Achievement program, as a substitute teacher, and am beginning my third year of being the Annville Cleona PTO president. In this role, I spend time fundraising, hosting events for students, and providing additional support for the students and teachers in grades K-6.

As a member of the community and as a parent of elementary-aged children in our district, I want to make sure that the best interests of our students, faculty, staff, and families are being represented. An effective school board is one that is diverse and well-rounded. However, there is currently only one school board member with an elementary-aged child in the school district. Beginning next year, that child will be entering the secondary school and there will be no representation of the elementary schools and the 750+ students enrolled. This is where I believe I bring value and perspective to the table. As PTO president and a parent of students in both Cleona and Annville Elementary Schools, I spend a lot of time walking the halls and working alongside the faculty, staff, and administration to provide the best environment available for our children to learn and grow.

With the recent resignations of administrators and faculty in our school district, I have been concerned about how this turnover affects the morale and support that our teachers need to thrive. Outside of family members, teachers spend the most amount of time with our children and have an incredible responsibility for the education of the children in our community. I have been attending school board meetings and have been frustrated with the lack of transparency and concern in their response. Many of you have shared your frustrations with me as well. This is why I am seeking your support as a write-in candidate for school board. I want to make sure that all voices are represented. I will commit myself to listening to the concerns of parents, caregivers, community members, teachers, staff, and administrators so that the important decisions made by the board reflect the interests of those who are most affected by the outcome.
